YMCA of the Fox Cities

When you think about the YMCA of the Fox Cities (the Y) and what it offers, you may picture a game of basketball in a gym, a line of treadmills buzzing or a pool full of kids learning to swim. But you should really be imagining a child gaining confidence, an older adult becoming healthier or a family growing closer.

For over 125 years, the Y has focused on changing lives for the better in our community. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y nurtures the potential of every youth and teen, improves our community’s health and well-being, and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors. The Y truly has something for everyone.

The Y offers a unique combination of programing, including:

  • Aquatics
  • Child Care
  • Family Activities
  • Adult Leagues
  • Active Older Adults
  • School-Age Care
  • Arts and Humanities
  • Dance
  • Youth and Government
  • Swim Team
  • Youth Sports
  • Health and Fitness
  • Preschool
  • Youth/Teen
  • Special Needs
  • Cancer Survivors
  • Gymnastics
  • Camps

The Y offers five convenient locations: Appleton, Fox West, Heart of the Valley, Neenah-Menasha and Apple Creek. The Apple Creek location features the Bruce B. Purdy Nature Preserve, offering more than three miles of hiking trails that wind through wooded uplands, ponds, wetlands and restored prairie.

The Y also owns and operates Camp Nan A Bo Sho, a 40-acre resident camp on the shores of Waubee Lake near Lakewood, Wisconsin. Traditional camping experiences such as swimming, sailing, canoeing and target sports are available for youth ages 6-17. Family and specialty camp experiences are also offered. Scholarships and opportunities to “earn your way” make the camp experience possible for everyone.

The Y provides resources and guidance to improve our community’s health and wellness, including cancer survivor programs for children and adults, weight management programs, programs for those with diabetes or prediabetes, injury screenings and rehab programs.

The Y is for all! We make sure that everyone, no matter their age, gender, race or ability is welcomed as part of the Y family. The Y believes in providing membership and program services to all who desire to participate. Scholarships are available through contributions to the YMCA of the Fox Cities Annual Campaign.
