Jane experiences unparalleled customer service and so much more

As an avid reader of Nature’s Pathways — this magazine — I know just how much varied information is out in the world about the holistic, natural approach to health. There’s a lot! I love online shopping for its convenience, and I try to research products before I purchase them. However, lately, I’ve been considering just how different each of our health journeys are and wanted more of a personal connection and conversation when it comes to the items I choose.

I decided to visit a brick and mortar store to gain more perspective in an in-person way. There’s nothing like conversation and feeling like you’re being heard. And that’s exactly how I felt when I visited Natural Healthy Concepts. They offer “vitamins, nutrition supplements, herbs and homeopathic remedies which are derived from the highest quality ingredients. Health nutrition supplements (they) select are based on ingredients, absorption and from client feedback on what works.”

Natural Healthy Concepts has a huge online presence but also two physical locations: Appleton and Fond du Lac. I’m somewhat familiar with the Appleton store near Woodman’s, but chose the Fond du Lac location to see what it was all about. It was very easy to get to coming from highway 41 and was near a lot of other convenient stops so I can see myself visiting again while I’m running errands in the future.

The first thing I noticed about the Natural Healthy Concepts store is how bright and clean the space is. And it smelled amazing! I’ve never seen a store more organized and well put together. It was easy to see exactly where everything was because of the clear signs in each section. There was even a cute vanity area with natural cosmetics, safe nail polish and paraben-free makeup.

After visiting their website (www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com) to see what they offered, I specifically wanted to speak with Angela Halderson, a Registered Dietitian who works at both locations. She writes many blogs on the website, and after meeting her, I can see why she’s so good at it. She is incredibly knowledgeable but down-to-earth and friendly — the perfect person you want to get advice from while shopping for health products. She feels like a friend who has your best interest at heart. She offers one-on-one consultations to customers, and after speaking with her for even a few minutes I can’t recommend this option enough!

We talked a lot about homeopathic health, which is the belief that the body can cure itself. All of the items at the store and on their website embody this, and are completely natural. They carry a wide selection of aromatherapy/essential oils, a huge array of multivitamins and vitamins A-K, along with essential fatty acids like fish oils. There are hundreds of professional-grade, high quality nutritional supplements, and Natural Healthy Concepts even introduced its own brand in 2016. The entire brand is hypoallergenic: gluten free, dairy free, soy free and nut free.

When Angela was explaining what it meant to be “professional grade,” she mentioned that because Natural Healthy Concepts has certified nutritionists on staff, they’re able to offer unique formulas that are targeted to focus on a specific health concern that aren’t offered at a typical pharmacy. Theresa Groskopp, the owner/founder of the store is also hugely involved when it comes to formulas and suggestions of products, which is a great feeling: everything in the store is there for a reason.

After speaking with Angela about my sporadic sleep patterns, I purchased a natural sleep aid: Utzy Naturals’ “Utzzzs Fall Asleep.” I take melatonin every once in a while, but after looking at the ingredients in this product (like magnesium and valerian root), I can’t wait to see how it works. I also chose Stevia liquid drops as an alternative to sugar in my coffee. The amount of natural and alternative products to choose from at Natural Healthy Concepts is seriously impressive. In fact, they even have a section entirely devoted to natural pet supplements, which was so heartwarming for me to see. We all want what’s best for our furry family members, and they have it! My friends requested that I pick up the Spry brand of gum because it uses natural sweeteners. There were a lot of options from bubblegum to green tea flavor.

I think it’s a common misconception that natural items – especially from a designated store like Natural Healthy Concepts – must be exorbitantly priced, but that’s not the experience I had at all. The retail store and online shop have discounted prices every day, and were very favorable and reasonable to me.

Overall, I can’t recommend Natural Healthy Concepts enough. The friendly staff, unrivalled knowledge and friendly and warm atmosphere I felt in the store is enough to make me want to visit again — not to mention the amazing selection and great prices. I’ve just become a customer for life!

“What matters the most at Natural Healthy Concepts is customer care — for you and your health needs. Natural Healthy Concepts is about quality natural health products by real people who care and share the philosophy that your health is the best investment you’ll ever make!”
