This little homemade treat can be customized to satisfy anyone in the family and are a healthy alternative to packaged cookies and crackers. Have them on hand for the afternoon slump or a pre-workout snack.
2 cups oats
1 cup all natural peanut butter
1 cup ground flaxseed
½ cup mini chocolate chips
½ cup honey
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix all ingredients together. Roll into bite-size balls (the size you roll them will determine how many the recipe yields). Store in fridge.
Try variations: dried fruit, sunflower or pumpkin seeds, chocolate chunks, and gluten-free oats. Have fun and get the family involved!
