Melody of Life Foundation — Meet Lucas J. Robak

After graduating from college in 2008 with a degree in Flight Operations, instead of applying for jobs, Lucas J. Robak applied for 501c3 status. In August of 2009, Melody of Life Foundation was officially born. Its mission was to help working families pay their children’s medical bills they could not afford.

By May 2014, Lucas chose to be pulled in numerous directions by being an executive director, author, life coach, NLP practitioner and speaker. He ended up feeling lost being involved in so many things. That all changed on May 30, 2014 when five neurologists handed him a clear platform on a silver platter: a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). Unable to understand doctor language, his positive imagination ran wild.

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” —Robert Frost

Instead of researching MS at the risk of becoming a hypochondriac, Lucas chose to research how to successfully live with MS. After a few weeks, Lucas couldn’t help but notice a crucial need that Melody of Life Foundation could fill: to provide proven and recommended treatment to people diagnosed with MS which insurance doesn’t cover.

These treatments are not covered by insurance but are proven and recommended to help with MS:

  1. Acupuncture. Inhibits the body to heal itself.
  2. Massage. Promotes blood flow and helps the nervous system
  3. Meditation. Relieves stress and anxiety, clears the mind, and promotes relaxation and mindfulness
  4. Vitamins. Vitamin D3 and Omega-3 are the most important
  5. Healthy food. Eating the right foods can ward off flare-ups
  6. Exercise/Personal trainers. Research proves exercise is vital
  7. Positive thinking. Positive mind, positive vibes, positive life

Visions for the future

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

—Abraham Lincoln

Even though we are a small organization, that does not mean we can’t be a global influence tomorrow. Soon enough, we will be providing all forms of proven and recommended treatment which insurance doesn’t cover to every person diagnosed with MS in the world. By leading the way, we will naturally inspire other organizations to do the same with the disease they support.

It is impossible not to predict the future when you attend our purposeful event, “Come Live Your 2020 Vision” party. Here, you act as if it is five years in the future with all your desires complete. You spend the night bragging about all your accomplishments, which you haven’t yet achieved .

To assist you with clarifying your future self, we teamed up with Skillset Life Coaching (SLC) to catapult your dreams forward. SLC’s six systematic workshops take you from passion to action. Dr. Patrick Hill proved that you will live a longer, happier, healthier, and more fulfilled life if you have a life purpose and pursue it. Melody of Life Foundation offers this aspect of mindfulness and positive thinking to MS’ers and the general public.

“What the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.”

—Napoleon Hill
