Empty Your Closet

Ever look in your closet full and lament, "I have nothing to wear?"

It’s a common complaint for many women. But whether you’re tired of what you own, it doesn’t fit or you simply want to change your look, Empty Your Closet is the smart solution to your wardrobe woes.

Empty Your Closet is a women’s consignment store that caters to every woman, says owner Marilyn Rolf. Previously located on Richmond Street in Appleton, the store is now located at 261 W. Northland Ave., Appleton, after experiencing unprecedented growth.

Despite the increased retail space, Rolf says customers and consigners still receive the same personal, friendly service they’ve come to expect.

"We want to make our customers feel comfortable and welcome," she says. "Anyone can shop here and not feel intimidated. It’s a fun, budget-friendly way to mix up your wardrobe, jewelry and accessories."

In addition to women’s clothing of all sizes, Empty Your Closet carries formals, including prom dresses and mother of the bride and mother of the groom dresses. Its junior department is rapidly expanding as the teen and high school set discover the easy and inexpensive way to expand their wardrobes without breaking the bank.

Unlike other consignment shops, Empty Your Closet keeps clothing on the floor for just 60 days, which allows customers to experience a fresh selection more often. Consigners pay just $5 to open an account and receive 40 percent of the selling price of their clothing, jewelry or accessory. Clothes should be current in style, and brought in freshly laundered, pressed and on hangers.

If an item doesn’t sell or isn’t picked up at the end of those 60 days, the store donates it to charity. Cash, check, debit, Visa, Master Card and Discover cards are all accepted forms of payment.
